- The Secrets RACER Whispers: Partnering Interlibrary Loans and Acquisitions to Create a More User-Driven Collection
Presented at OLA Super Conference 2007 by Gloria Joy Jouppien, Donna Millard, and Sue McGillivray. In 2004, Interlending & Document Supply and Acquisitions at McMaster University Libraries began a program to purchase current year monographs requested through interlibrary loans. The presentation shares information on the experience and explores the potential of using OCUL VDX RACER reports and statistics to make this process work effectively. February 3, 2007.

Presented at CLA by Carol Stephenson as part of a panel presentation on new ILL technologies and standards. Other presenters included Mark Leggott speaking about OpenILL; Gwyn Pace speaking about ECRC's implementation of Relais; and Anne Morgan and Heather Morrison speaking about BC Outlook Online. Barbara Shuh and Carrol Lunau presented an overview of ISO ILL (ISO 10160/10161-1) and Directories (ISO 2146), NCIP, and Z39.50 standards.

Given at the ALA Midwinter NAFDUG (North American Fretwell Downing User Group Meeting) Meeting in San Diego by Sue McGillivray. The presentation was one of several presented by members of NAFDUG to inform other people using VDX how the OCUL implementation is set up. NAFDUG members arranged the presentations so that sites using FD software can learn more about how others are implementing ZPortal & VDX & identify areas of commonality to foster co-operation across the User Group.
